Pollution The nations agree that people are free to visit Antarctica however if they do not abide by these rules and start dropping scraps and start bringing unknown products, this may affect fauna and due to their actions them and their country will face charges between $1000 and $2000.  Mining The signatories agree that when people come to Antarctica they cannot mine, however if they continue and start digging and start breaking ice shelves, this will affect animals and plants as well as scientific research. If people don’t abide by these rules due to their actions they will face a fine of $250,000.  Animals It has been agreed that people may visit Antarctica, however if they come closer than 30 metres to the animals or cause harm to the animals tourists who monitor have the right to charge them for $950,000.  Tourism All forty-four nations agree that tourism will be allowed, however it will be carefully monitored and if tourists ruin the natural state of Antarctica. As a consequence to their actions they will be banned from Antarctica for a full 15 years.  Permanent Settlement The nations agree that permanent settlement is prohibited as one would not withstand the extreme cold conditions and you would have to bring supplies to Antarctica which would possibly cause pollution. A fine of $550 000 will be sent to you if you don’t follow these rules.  Waste Disposal The nations concur that people may travel on cruise liners, however if they drop their rubbish anywhere in the ocean or on the land it will cause disruption to animals. If you don’t abide by these laws, due to your actions there will be a fine of $ 600 000.  Nuclear Activity The signatories agree that nuclear activity is forbidden as if you set off nuclear bombs it will wreck the environment of this beautiful mysterious land of Antarctica. If you break this rule you will be banned from Antarctica for life.  |
