Pollution All 47 members of the Antarctic treaty have come to an conclusion that pollution is getting out of hand in Antarctica. Noise pollution is caused by construction on this icy continent and planes carrying tourists flying over penguin rookeries making them stressed. Air and water pollution is caused by people dumping ruubish which blows into the water so they will have to use an incinerator that catches the ash so it doesn’t blow into the atmosphere and cause more harm. Id broken a fine of $7 000 to $2 000 000 will be put in place.
![]() ![]() ![]() Mining Mining All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty have agreed that mining should be banned altogether because of the risk of fires, blowouts and oil leaks harming marine life and in no time at all coastal wildlife eg penguins and seals . The only time the ban will be lifted is when oil supplies throughout the rest of the world is extremely low. If this rule is broken that country will be banned from the Antarctic traty for 5 to 10 years. ![]() Animals Animals All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty have decided that people should stay a certain distance from all wildlife. There is no flash photography, feeding or touching of the animals and noise is to be kept to a minimum. Animals are not to be captured without a permit. If these rules are broken by tourist or scientist they will be sent back to their country of origin. ![]() Tourism ![]() Permanent Settlement Permanent Settlement All 47 members of the Antarctic treaty have decided that it Is strictly prohibited to have permanent settlement in Antarctica as the research bases would have to expand. As a result of the 24 hours of darkness in winter it would drive you insane. In this amazing winter wonderland the animals will struggle due to the basses growing and taking up more of their habitat. If this rule is broken that base will be removed from Antarctica.

It is a fact that this winter wonderland is the last frontier and if there is military activity in Antarctica it could result in this blue continent being destroyed.
