It is essential to keep noise pollution to a minimum due to the animals living there and so we don’t harm them. Mining

It is certain that there is no mining in Antarctica so that we can keep it in its natural state. If this occurs it could lead to animals getting frightened or could destroy habitats. There will be a guaranteed consequence of breaking this rule such as a large fine of $50 000.

Animals

All nations are to insure all animals are protected in Antarctica. Animals are not to be tested on or used for scientific research that involves harming them. Under no circumstances is there to be any new animal introduced in Antarctica. There will be a consequence such a fine or under extreme conditions it will be taken to court.     

Tourism

The signatories agree that tourism need to be strictly monitored. Tourists are to stay within 3 metres of the animals. There are to be a maximum of 2 cruise ships allowed in Antarctica each year so we can protect the animals and environment. If anyone disobeys this rule their whole country will receive a 5 year ban

 

 

Permanent Settlement

All nations agree there is to be no permanent settlement in Antarctica as the building process of houses and units could disturb animals, create noise, pollution and even destroy this pristine environment. The maximum amount of time you can stay in Antarctica is 2 years. If you break this rule you will receive a 10 year ban and a big fine of $100 000.

 

Waste Disposal

Dumping waste in Antarctica is forbidden as it is harmful to the land and animals. No waste is to be dumped in Antarctic seas. All waste is to be taken back to their home country. Because of this Scientists and tourists are to try to keep waste to a minimum. There will be a large fine of $5 million if this rule is broken.

Military

There is to be no Military activity taking place in Antarctica. For Instance a nation bombing the land or animals. If you are found doing this you will receive a 5 year ban and a fine of $8 million so we can keep this pristine environment safe and protected
