Pollution

Signatories strongly agree that aircraft noises are completely unacceptable in Antarctica as it can affect animals breeding and can result in noise pollution. Signatories also recommend that there is to be no littering as it will take about 100 years for the rubbish to disintegrate and this will cause air pollution. Anyone found guilty will be sent to jail for 8 months or so.

Mining

Signatories absolutely agree that mining in Antarctica should be banned for another 50 years or so due to the risk of harming the environment and the wildlife in this last frontier. Any nation who breaks this strict rule will be asked to attend The International Court of Justice for harming this winter wonderland.

Animals

Signatories definitely agree that feeding animals is very unacceptable because the food tourist give them might not be their natural diet. This can cause sicknesses to the animals. If anyone breaks this rule the tourist will be sent back to their state of origin. For a further consequence, they won’t be allowed to come back to Antarctica for a period of time to be decided upon the member of The Antarctic Treaty.

Tourism

Signatories strongly agree that tourism in Antarctica should definitely be monitored. There should be a maximum of only three cruise ships from each member nation in a season. This can decrease the amount of oil slicks and bilge dischargers that go into the ocean. If this rule is broken it will result in a large fine and will be removed from the Antarctic Treaty member list.

Permanent Settlement

Signatories certainly agree that living in Antarctica is completely unacceptable. This is because of, having to build facilities for the resident’s supplies, work and education. Permanent residents would mean having to remove animals from their habitats. However, humans can visit Antarctica for 6 or less months. Tourists are not allowed to visit this blue continent without a permit from their government to go to Antarctica. Anyone found guilty will not be allowed to visit Antarctica for 8 months.

Waste Disposal

Signatories certainly agree that the rubbish tourists bring to Antarctica should be burnt. The ashes must be returned to where it came from. If this rule is broken there will possibly be death to innocent animals that live in Antarctica. Any person found guilty will be eliminated from the Antarctic Treaty.

Scientific Research

Signatories totally agree that, scientific research should proceed as long as, scientists share their information amongst each other to save time so that they can research other bases. They will also need a permit from their government to go to Antarctica. If this rule isn’t clear to any scientists they will not be allowed to research this blue continent for a year.
