Pollution All 47 members of the treaty agree that noise pollution in Antarctica is prohibited because when aircrafts fly over penguin rookeries it makes these unique creatures fell stressed and overwhelmed by the noise and may disturb the breeding process. This could cause extinction. If any country ignores this rule they will be sent back to their original country and may pay a hefty fine. ![]()
Mining All 47 members of the treaty agree that mining in Antarctica should go ahead, but if any country finds oil they must share it among all 47 members of the treaty .If any country disobeys this rule they will have to pay an immense fine and could be removed from the treaty for 2 years.

All 47 members of the treaty certainly agree that no tourists are allowed to feed the animals , touch animals and absolutely no flash photography is allowed near the animals if anyone is caught capturing a animal without a permit or harming them they will be suspended from the treaty and will have to go to court for further discipline. ![]()
Tourism All 47 members of the treaty agree that there should be a limited number of tourist each year during the summer as it will reduce the risk of damaging the flora and fauna of Antarctica. If any nation disobeys this rule they will be sent back to their country.
![]() Permanent settlement All 47 members of the treaty agree that permanent settlement is strictly prohibited in Antarctica. It is my belief that people living in this blue continent could prevent this last frontier of being an unpolluted area. If anyone disobeys this rule they will have to pay a substantial amount of money. ![]()
Waste Disposal All 47 members of the treaty strongly agree that what rubbish can be burnt in a high temperature incinerator, however, the ashes must be returned to their original country. Anything that is non-burnable, recyclable or hazardous must be returned to their original country, any “safe” liquids should be treated so they will be safe to the environment and wildlife. If any country disregards this rule there will be a staggering fine.
![]() Military Activity All 47 members of the treaty absolutely agree that military activity is certainly prohibited from Antarctica. I am of the opinion that military activity is extremely bad for the environment as it can harm whales and penguins. If any countries disregard this rule they will be suspended from the treaty and will have to pay a fine of $900.
