Nuclear Activity

Pollution

To begin with, it is an unanimous decision from all nations that there is a difficulty as pollution harms the environment. Some of these examples are: Due to ships entering the cold and icy environment there have many oil spills. As tourists litter it may lead to the extinction of some animals. If this continues to happen, a consequence will be that there will be no more scientific research.

Mining

All nations agree that mining should be prohibited as it could lead to the destruction of the ice and possibly death to animals as they wouldn’t have a territory to live in. If mining still perseveres, the nation that disobeys this law will have to pay a fine of $2500.

Animals

All nations must obey this law that the wildlife of this freezing continent should be avoided by tourists, as when they put an end to their day they are disturbing penguin rookeries by making too much noise and may stop penguins from breeding. If disturbing the animals proceeds The Antarctic Treaty will forbid tourism in Antarctica.

Tourism

All forty-four nations of the Antarctic Treaty strongly agree that tourism should be allowed in Antarctica, however it should be carefully monitored as there are some amazing geographical features such as: The Aurora, Australis and if these tourists infringe this law whatever nation they come from, that nation will be evicted from the treaty only if they are part of it.

Permanent Settlement

The signatories agree that permanent settlement should not be permitted in Antarctica, as permanent settlement should only be allowed for scientists only, as if too many citizens of the world arrive in this beautiful land and decide to make their habitat. Antarctica will become much worse than it already is. If permanent settlement remains no more cruise liners will be able to arrive with more tourists as a consequence.

Waste Disposal

All nations have come together to agree that waste disposal should be prohibited as this would possibly lead to extinction of the wildlife in Antarctica. If any citizen disobeys this law they will be forced to pay a fine of $50 000 as a ramification.

Nuclear Activity

All nations agree that nuclear activity should be forbidden as it ruins the pristine environment. If nuclear activity continues you will be banned from coming back to Antarctica and will have to pay a fine of $1 750 000 as a consequence.
