Pollution Pollution All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty absolutely agree that if there is any waste left behind by tourists, it should be burnt in an incinerator and sent to the country the tourist came from. New and improved incinerators must be sent out to Antarctica so that there are no ashes left floating around the atmosphere to cause air pollution. If any waste is found in the Antarctic region, there will be a charge placed on the country the tourist came from. ![]() ![]() Mining Mining All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty totally agree that mining in Antarctica should be banned as it could lead to an oil leak. Banning mining in this mind-blowing continent will reduce arguments throughout the Treaty. It will reduce the risk of marine life and human life dying. If any nation apart of the Treaty is found mining in Antarctic region, they will be charged a hefty fine and also be investigated by the International Court of Justice. Animals Animals All 47 members of the Antarctic treaty completely agree that, there should be no feeding, touching or loud noises near the animals as this could harm them or even stop them from breeding. If anyone is caught capturing an animal without a permit this will lead to a fierce fine or even suspension ![]() Tourism Tourism All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty certainly agree that there should be a limited amount of tourists (approximately 2500) allowed in Antarctica in the summer season as they may destroy Antarctica’s environment. If any nation apart of the Antarctic treaty break this rule they will receive a harsh fine and many even be eliminated from the treaty. Permanent Settlement Permanent Settlement All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty strictly agree that, permanent settlement in Antarctica is absolutely prohibited. Permanent settlement in this breathtaking continent is forbidden as it will lead to pollution, more waste being produced and more ice free land taken away from the animals breeding and feeding grounds. Due to this, it causes humans to travel to this winter wonderland and interrupt the natural environment, As a result, travelling to this blue continent without a permit leads to consequences, the consequence is either being taken out of the Treaty or receiving a large fine. ![]() Waste Disposal Waste Disposal All 47 members of the Antarctic treaty definitely agree that all waste that can be burnt shall be burnt in an incinerator and sent back to the country it came from. Any waste such as sewage, chemicals and shower must be treated and pumped back into the ocean. All waste must leave Antarctica. If any waste does not leave Antarctica, the country it came from must receive a tough fine. ![]() Heading 1 Discussion Agreement All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty definitely agree that, there shall be an important meeting with all member nations to discuss the Treaty. This meeting should occur at least every three to four years. Each nation is to send a representative of their country. This meeting is to consider the Treaty and discuss any changes if needed.
