Pollution

All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty certainly agree that, when visiting a penguin rookery you can’t fly over it you need to land 750 metres away from it and walk the rest of the rest of the way, also whatever you bring in Antarctica you must take out. If anyone breaks this rule they will receive a fine of $3 500 - $10 000 and will be escorted back to their country of origin.

 

Mining 

All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty totally agree that, mining should definitely be banned for at least another 25 years, as it can harm native wildlife and possibly kill them. If any country breaks this rule they will receive an immense fine and will be extinguished from the treaty.

Animals 

All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty totally agree that, you are not allowed to feed or touch the animals, but you can take photos animals but without flash. If anybody breaks this rule or is caught trying to capture an animal without a permit they will be escorted out of Antarctica and possibly not be able to come back.

Tourism 

All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty certainly agree that, there should be a limited amount of tourist (approximately 2500) allowed in Antarctica in the summer season as they may destroy Antarctica’s environment. If any nation part of the Antarctic Treaty breaks this rule, they will receive a harsh fine and may even be eliminated from the treaty.

Permanent Settlement 

All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty definitely agree that, there is to be no permanent settlement in Antarctica. Only scientists can stay for 10 months or less, because of the bad weather. If anyone breaks this rule they will be escorted out of Antarctica and never be able to come back, but if they do come back they will receive a $10 000 fine.

Waste Disposal 

All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty definitely agree that, to dispose of waste you have to burn it in a high temperature incinerator. However you must take the ashes back to the country of origin. For liquid waste it needs to be treated before being pumped into Antarctic waters. If any country breaks this rule they will receive a rough fine and possibly be eliminated from the treaty.

 

Commercial Use

All 47 members of the Antarctic Treaty completely agree that, there is to be no commercial use in Antarctica. Commercial use is banned because it will kill marine animals such as seals for dog food, whale and fish for human consumption. If any country breaks this rule they will receive a fine of 1-3 million dollars and will be ejected from the treaty.
